Veteran Actor Raj Kiran is alive

Rumors around B-town and elsewhere were that veteran actor Raj Kiran, known for his roles in movies such as Arth and Bulundi, has passed away. Reason for such widespread belief was the man's mysterious absence for the longest

time. But all rumors can now be laid to rest because the actor, in a shocking turn of events, has been found at a mental asylum in the US.

It had been the rumors about this absconding actor that had initially led his friends and colleagues to begin their search for him. Raj's Hip Hip Hurray co-star, Deepti Naval, also left a message on his Facebook Fan page in her concern about the same matter.

However, the man to actually find him was none other than his Karz co-star Rishi Kapoor who recently traveled to the United States for the purpose. He was successful in tracing Raj's location and was equally shocked to find both, that Raj was living in a mental asylum, and that he worked there to pay for his own treatment.

Apparently, the story behind the veteran actor's unfortunate circumstances is a rather dramatic one. After his wife and son had abandoned him quite a while back, Raj took the beating to heart and deteriorated in his medical condition, while being left alone to fend for himself. Even the remainder of his own family did not take interest in mending any matters. Eventually, it all led to his deeply succumbing to depression after which he admitted himself in a mental institution in Mumbai. Much later his brothers took him to the mental asylum in the US, while news of his whereabouts was kept strictly hush.

Despite the harsh fate met out to him in this past time, we believe Raj Kiran still has his many blessings, in the form of people other than his family who care for him deeply enough. Here's wishing the man best wishes to recover from the trauma soon.

okay this is kinda ridiculous. how could everyone just conclude he was dead without proper evidence? Rishi saved the day lol poor Raj Kiran though. i hope he gets better soon

This guy's brother's took him from a Mumbai mental institute to US for better care, unfortunately this better care requires more money then maybe his brother and he had and the hospital and Raj himself have sorted a payment plan where he works for the hospital to partly pay the cost of the treatment, I don't like totally what Rishi Kapoor did, the reason being, I can't fault him for being worried about a friend and if Raj's family didn't tell him where he was, he thought him abandoned in a far off place and went to investigate on finding him he should have helped him financially with the medical treatment and inform his friend he will be with him through this tough time, that his not alone that he will visit again, and stick to this promise, and never inform the press or the public about where Raj is, that would have been the actions of a true friend. By informing the press he is showing that himself he wants to be in the news for being philanthropist or a like look at me, I'm so good, I spent my time to find him etc, not caring the possible reasons his family wanted to keep this a secret in the first place, at least Raj's brothers didn't just leave him in Mumbai mental asylum where the care wouldn't as been as good, so privacy should have been afforded to Raj and his family at this trying time.

Everybody has ups and downs in life especially in this showbiz industry, but those who have people around them to stand by them in situations where there is no hope for improvement are some lucky few.

Glad he is alive and wish him a speedy recovery. I thought he had a sister who was an actress same time he came into film industry. Think she starred with Rishi Kapoor. Was it Hum Kissise Se Kum Nahin??? Anyway do you think todays stars would do this in 10 years??? NO WAY. At least stars of the 50's,60',70's & 80's help out each other when in need and they did not demand high fees in their hay days. Today's stars just keep on taking ads etc knowing tomorrow they will be replaced so want to make money as quick as possible.
