Whilst the Indian Film Industry rejoices over the recently announced winners of the 58th National Awards 2011, here's a compilation of Bollywood biggies who managed to bag one of the prestigious accolades home this year.

Seems like Vishal Bharadwaj's Ishqiya tops the chart by securing the most number of awards including:

Best Singer (female) - Rekha Bharadwaj

Best Music Director - Vishal Bharadwaj for "Badi Dheere Jali"

Best Location Sound Recordist (for Sync Sound Films Only - Kamod Kharade

Best Re-Recordist of the Final Mixed Tracks - Debajit Changmai

Other winners who could proudly chant their tales of their medals are:

Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment - Dabangg

Best Feature Film - Do Dooni Chaar

The whole of Bollywood simple seems to be in fumes over their near exclusion from the National Awards, but clearly the above seem to have a reason or two celebrate.Your thoughts on the winners?

I said I 'TRIED' to watch it 3 times & couldn't finish it. Guess why? It was BORING! Even the cinematography was odd.

Dabang as an entertainment is ok but when comes to national award then I dont think it actually deserves in Best Film. But as a popular category it is OK.

So, I guess I'm not the only one who thought Dabangg sucked. Tried to watch 3 times & left it in between every time. The songs were average too.
Even though Do Dhooni Char was a delight to watch, still doesn't deserve to win the prestige National Awards.
These days awards seem to be some kind of joke idek.
And what's with the whole Malayalam's are better and what not. You guys are all a part of India you know. What's with excluding yourself?
I'm just going to stop here...don't want to get involved in regionalism issue.

Still bitter over the fact that Udaan didn't win a single award! Dx

@shri kannan: There wasn't a single Malayalee Juri memeber. And if the Malayalam movies got the award; it is just because of the story and acting. Don't say that Malayalam movies are just copying Tamil movies. There are many good films which are very much unique in theme that has been released in Malayalam.
