Once again,
Salman Khan has proven what a golden heart he possesses!
Even though the mega-star is not in Mumbai at the moment, he swung
into action as soon as he heard about the destruction caused by the fire
which engulfed
the Garib Nagar slums adjoining the Bandra railway
station (east) on Friday night. Salman arranged for the distribution of
food packets and clothing for the approximately 1,500 people who lost
their homes in the unfortunate incident through his Being Human
foundation. And all of this was done within hours of the tragedy!
Talk about Super Salman to the rescue!
According to a source, the actor was extremely concerned when he
heard what had happened. After learning the magnitude of the loss, he
immediately took action and got his volunteers on the job. The entire
operation was co-ordinated by phone as Salman is currently in Thailand
shooting for his upcoming film, Ready.
Like always, this time Sallu Bhai was also keen on avoiding the media buzz. Sources say the Dabangg
Khan did not let anyone know that the aid was from him. It was only
later, after things had settled down, that people realized it was from
the star, and they were more than thankful to him.
Although there were no casualties, the fire has rendered over 1,500 families homeless, including Slumdog Millionaire child actress, Rubina and her family.
Sallu Bhai may appear to be rough on the outside but he is superbly generous at heart! We wish him all the best with his charitable work!
