Saif not part of Race sequel?

It's the year of the squeals! With Don 2 being filmed, talks of Race 2 making an appearance are doing the rounds. But rumor has it that Saif Ali Khan, who stared in the leading role in the first movie, is not so keen to join Abbas Mastan for the sequel.

An inside sour

ce revealed that the script just did not appeal to Saif as the first movie had. However, the gist out there was that there was a bigger issue laced behind his denial. Apparently Saif has a problem with fellow hunk John Abraham being part of this film, hence he decided to opt out of it.

Another buzz doing the circuit as to why the Chote Nawab declined to reprise his role, is that Saif is looking forward to starting his own home production. The actor is very much excited about his project and wishes to get this rolling as soon as possible.

Nothing of yet is final. As of now, talks are still on between Abbas and Saif.

Will Saif give in and share screen space with John? Time shall once again tell!

i too prefer john over saif as he is younger,more handsome & more talented that saif and a thorough professional unlike saif who will not work for a awesome project due to his personal differences

Hmm .. I liked Race but I there's not point in having a sequel if the characters will be portrayed by different actors .. And this is the main lead we're talkin about here LOL!

Hmmm...what story could they possibly have for Race 2? I thought the first was wrapped up pretty nicely no real need for a squeal.

I prefer John over Saif, but seriously what's the point of Race 2 if the cast is different? Indian film-makers really don't seem to understand the definition of a SEQUEL! If the cast is changed they should just make a brand new movie instead of calling it Race 2.2011-02-19 08:52:03

That sucks, if there's no Saif in Race 2 then there's no sophistication at all! He's much more suave than John and tbh I think the movie will flop now. I LOVE YOU SAIFUUUU :D
