Indeed, so goes the latest buzz!
Apparently, Khiladi Kumar has been offered to play lead in the sequel to Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria's criminalized (and retro) block
buster of 2010, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai. If Akshay gives his nod, he shall be onscreen portraying Emraan Hasmi's character in the second movie.
Seeing as he may fit the bill perfectly (action and romance wise), Kween Ekta is very keen on having this daring stunt king on board. In fact, if talks are to be believed, he was actually approached for Hashmi's role in the original itself, an idea that did not materialize when Akshay demanded an out of budget 27crores for the project.
However, given the line of average BO releases in this recent past, Akshay seems to have revised his rates to go, and is keen on coming back with a bang for his fiercely loyalist fans.
Will playing the Mafia do it for action guy of B-town all over again?!
