Asin, Salman - Ready?

Asin, who shot to fame with her debut role in Aamir Khan co-starrer Ghajini, has successfully bagged another role, once more, opposite Salman Khan. Previously they were seen in London Dreams, which also cast Ajay Devgan and was an ambitious love triangle drama that unfortunately did not fair too well at BO.


This proposed venture in talks, has been taken up by Bhushan Kumar productions. An Anees Bazmee directorial, this movie will be a remake of the South Indian hit Ready, and will hopefully make it big on the charts as Bollywood's remake Ghajini did.


It is alleged that while shooting for London Dreams, Salman and Asin developed a close bond and have continued to stay in touch. It is reported that their friendship was so close that Salman even helped Asin to get an apartment in the suburbs. Of course, the intimacy had brought with it more than its required share of controversy over animosity between Kat and Asin, courtesy the macho Khan.


Unperturbed apparently, by lose tongues that have been talking, buzz has it that Salman was responsible for landing Asin this role.  The original film starred southern actor Ram and our very own Genelia 'D Souza as protagonist. A romantic comedy, it was a big success and among the highest grossing films of 2008 in South Indian cinema.
