Big or small, every filmmaker tries to cash in on the latest trend. After the success of 'Chak De! India', sports films are the current flavour of the season.
Vivek Agnihotri's 'Goal', a film on football, is ready to hit the screens Nov 23 and another movie on the game titled 'Kaanu... the Footballer' is in the making.
Starring TV actor Prabhat Bhattacharya, who acted in serials like 'Kasturi', 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii', and 'Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai', the film is about a player who is infected with the AIDS virus.
Prabhat is very enthusiastic about the role: 'This is a pure commercial entertainer. It'll be shot in Jharkhand. The film raises some social issues, especially, awareness about AIDS among youngsters.'
