Shahid - Deepika: a thing?

Shahid Kapoor, a name that has been linked to so many from the fair sex in tinsel town, makes it into news for no different reason his time. It is now heard, hold your breath readers, that Shahid is seeing the dusky damsel Deepika Padukone.

While Shahid remained a woebegone rejected lover for a considerable while before emerging as the year 2009's high rated celeb; Deepika was pitied and accused in near equal numbers over the state of turmoil in her relationship with chocolate boy Ranbir Kapor.

The duo with a matching history in being in and out of love seem to have struck a similar chord. Sources claim they are taking it slow and easy at the moment, but if the buzz itself is precise, they are B-town's new 'IT' couple in the making.

From partying together to going pub-hopping, the two have been spotted together and cozy several times to escape media's glare any longer. When its not an outside adventure, they can be found at one of the two homes. A few days ago, Shahid's car was parked outside Deepika's Bandra residence.

For their part, both claim to have strengthened after the lessons from their previous failed relationships. Career is the prime priority at the moment, while speculation about a brewing bond between the two has been left unaddressed by Shahid and Deepika.

They have been approached to sign a project together, an undertaking by Shahid's close friend. Deepika and he himself are keen on playing co-stars.

And if all works well, we know there will be much more to hear and say about the pairing of this duo - off screen as much as on!
