No Mommy-hood for Rani - yet!!

The lastest buzz is that actress Rani Mukherjee walked out on Deepa Mehta's film because she did not want to portray the role of a mother to a 14 year old, when she herself is just 31!
Deepa Mehta, whose film is an adaptation of Salman Rushdie's, tour de force, Midnight's Children, has confirmed the fact that Rani will no longer be a part of the film. With Rani out and no word from the 'supposed' supporting actress Vidya Balan, poor Deepa has been left in a lurch!

    I like Rani, she's a wonderful actress if she doesn't feel she can do justice to the role of being a mother to a 14yrs old then let it be. Rani knows what's best for her career.

    the thing with rani is that she looks 30ish.. so being a mom of a 14 year old anyone can calculate that means 17 teenage preggy... it doesnt make sense and thats just more criticizing for her when the movie comes out( she didnt do a good job..she cant portray a mother.. BLAH BLAH).. good move rani.. i'm with you... take ur time and wait till u truly believe you can do these roles. no sense in ruining a movie if you dont believe in yourself..anywaysur still vvv hott(not that vidya isnt cuz she's not half bad either)t!!!

    why don't indian actors ever take on good matured roles?

    Look at Leo or Matt damon or other hollywood actors for instance! Once they graduate from "young" college going roles and take on more matured roles.....they stick to matured roles!
    Ughhhhhh and there in bollywood 40 year olds act as 19 or 21 year olds....

    No offence, but it's just plain boring
