Farah chooses Kumar over Khan!

Everyone knows about the special bond shared between King Khan and his friend cum choreographer turned director, Farah Khan. Farah, who started her directorial venture with Main Hoon Na starring Shah Rukh Khan, also directed the2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om, again starring Shah Rukh. However this time around Farah has different plans. Infact, Khan has decided to chose Akshay Kumar over the Badshah of Bollywood for her next venture.

Tees Maar Khan, will be Farah's third directorial venture, and is written by husband Shrish Kunder, who will also be producing this film along with Akshay Kumar's production house. A close birdie informs Bollycurry that Shirish had Akshay in mind when he was actually writing the film. Shirish and Akshay intially worked in Jaan-e-man together which is why they share a great rapport! When coming to how Farah was added to the project, Shirish exclaims that the original plan was for Shirish to direct Tees Maar Khan, but since it was Farah and Shirish's first home production, Shirish let Farah handle the director's chair while he sat back and produced the film.

Farah, who's next film was supposed to star Shah Rukh Khan, tell us that when she heard the script for Tees Maar Khan, she couldn't say no, because that film has everything that she expects –masala, comedy and action. She also added that her close friend SRK was perfectly fine and happy with her decision and even asked to give her a helping hand.

Bollycurry would like to take this moment and wish Farah and Shirish all the best for their upcoming release.

Well, there is nothing wrong in Farah working with Akshay. It was clearly known earlier that Shirish wanted to direct Akshay for Tees Maar Khan or Joker. Joker went on the back burner.

Being their first home production, both have right to decide who they want to work with. I am a die hard SRK fan. I am sure SRK would never mind this and he would encourage Farah more than anyone else. There needs to be a change in the continuation of working. After 2 megahits in the form of Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Farah and SRK need some space to get back together for Happy New Year.

Meanwhile, I would prefer SRK to work more for outside banners than his own. I would like to see him in an Abbas Mustan thriller, he needs to work with directors like Vishal Bharadwaj, Maniratnam, Rajkumar Santoshi etc. He also needs to consider working for other actor turned producers like Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and even Salman Khan.

He in turn should consider casting the above actors and the younger lot like Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan etc in his Red Chillies Banner. This way bollywood stands united and it is not about misses or flops or hits. Everyone tends to gain equally.

both are great actors, and a good director chooses the actors according to the role! it's good she's not doing any type of favoritism towards her friend.

pls, farah is just selecting the actor of the moment, u think she would stand by srk since some of his films have not done well recently, but then in bollywood certain people want to be associated with certain IT people,

Do any combination; Farah 'n' Akki or Farah 'n' King Khan both will rock! Just because Farah and Shahrukh are friends doesnt mean she cant have someone else in her film.

I think it's great. She's casting whoever she things suits the role. And SRK is way above this to mind such a small thing. May SRK-Farah stay friends forever!
