Shahid battles Airport detention!

After Shahrukh Khan was detained at an airport in USA next its Shahid Kapoor's spotboy Mamu who was detained at New York airport. Shahid Kapoor had to wait at New York airport for 90 minutes. It was due to his spotboy Mohammed Manzoor Alam also known as Mamu. Mohammed Manzoor Alam is an elderly man who has been Shahid Kapoor's spotboy since he started in the Bollywood industry.

This happened when Shahid Kapoor was moving from Philadelphia to New York for the shooting schedule of his yet to be titled movie. Mamu was stopped and questioned for special clearance. A unit member reveals, "The questioning lasted for nearly 90 minutes. Though Mamu has travelled extensively to most countries with Shahid, USA is the only country he had not visited.

When Mamu was stopped for special questioning, Shahid Kapoor noticed that he was nervous, so Shahid sat with Mamu all through the 90-minute grilling session after which he was let off.Shahid Kapoor 's spokesperson confirmed the story.

This makes Shahid the latest celebrity to get a taste of racial profiling.
