Swine Flu now threating B-Town!

Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan" align="right" hspace="5" vspace="5" />Recently Dharma Productions' "Qurbaan", starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareeena Kapoor, had to shoot a scene in Pune. However producer Karan Johar had to cancel the shooting because he did not want to expose his cast and crew to any potential danger.

It is reported that the crew were at Pune waiting for our Chote Nawab and Bebo. The duo was supposed to leave on August 7 but because of the Swine flu scare, the production unit decided to cancel the shoot and postpone it to a later day.

Kareena Kapoor said, "We were set to leave on Friday at 2 pm when we got a call from (director) Rensil D'silva and (producer) Karan Johar saying that they have decided not to go to Pune due to the swine flu scare. We have about three scenes left and we can easily shoot them in September, once we have a clear picture on the swine flu and the precautions we have to take. I think it's very sweet of Karan to think about people and do this."

The Production house didnt want to take such a big risk, especially when they have a big unit of 180 Crew members..

Now lets hope the Swine Flu scare doesn't shoo off more of our Bollywood production houses or else we will have to wait a lot for the upcoming movies..

With all due respect, there is big difference in US and India. Consider the population and the different regions and people..and the means of spreading info about the flu. It's not easy yet, people are living it through there. The reason why US did not have that many cases is b/c Mexico (where it actually originated from) borders were sealed off. Government of Mexico handed the whole issue to their military and everything in Mexico was shut down too to get a control over it and stop it from spreading.
This is not a regular flu. The virus changes it's genetic form and therefore it's hard to be treated. The vaccines for the virus are still being manufactured.

Sorry, If i sounded mean, but I just want people to realize that this is a serious matter. Living in countries like US, Canada, England, sometimes we forget how different conditions are in other countries.

For all those who think that swine flue is hyped, go and check the news please. at least two people are dying every day in either Pune or Bombay. So far 15 people have died of it just in Pune. All the Government offices, schools, theaters, malls have been shut down to get control over it. It's not hyped at all. It is very serious.

Wow some really hyped issue like the swine flu have the stars tensed...umm...can someone let them know about the cases in mexico and US? Yet they all freely make movies here in North America. But scared off certain areas down east??

oh for goodness sake...

its just the flu! ahh...sorry sorry not trying to be rude.. i mean...we have LOADS of cases in the US as well..but you dont see us shutting down cause of it...

i mean..just live your lives the way you used to and be a little sanitary and precautious thats all..you dont have to shut down cause of it!

if something has to happen it will happen...you can stop it.. go about business..you know? just be careful .. thats all.. but shutting down? thats a little to much..
