Prachi Desai: No bath-tubbing with her life partner!

Rock On girl, Prachi Desai wasn't in a rocking state of mind on hearing about her bath-tub scene with Tusshar Kapoor in the forthcoming romantic comedy, Life Partner.

Despite entering films, Ekta Kapoor's Kasamh Se star still remains as coy as her role in the soap.

Tusshar plays her Gujarati husband in the film and the scene had to be shot in South Africa for the Teri Meri Yeh Zindagi track when the two are honeymooning. To protect her modesty, she came up with the suggestion of wearing a shawl and shooting with the bath-tub in the background while she dances in front of it.

Director Rumi Jaffery and choreographer Bosco had a hard time convincing her that it was a harmless romantic shot but Prachi just couldn't let go of her inhibitions.

Rumi Jaffery confirmed, "We had put up an exotic set in the open. Prachi was very uncomfortable initially but we finally shot it in a slightly different manner."

Life Partner also stars Govinda, Fardeen Khan and Genelia D'Souza.

Very well said ratilal!! She has done the right thing, unlike other actresses who will be ready to sell themselves and go to any extent for the sake of money and fame! Well done Prachi.

One does not have to do scenes that are "bold" or scenes that make them a part of bollywood in order to prove themselves...those who think that she should do scenes that she is not comfortable with, they need to think out side the stereotypical view of a Bollywood actress!
I support her for not selling herself out! Films are about Acting not about skin showing and "romantic" scenes! IN the END Its about skills NOT about skin show!!!!!!

You have to give Prachi credit for being willing to stand up for herself. And not caving when she is feeling uncomfortable about a scene, and asking for changes.

But, it does make one wonder - is she really cut out for "films"? Is she too shy, too innocent? I really hope she doesn't get stereo-typed as being only willing to portray a certain kind role/character. She can't be, or play, the ingenue forever. Hopefully, as she gains more experience in films, she'll start to feel more comfortable w/mature roles.
