While we talk about crime/thrillers in Bollywood, there are some forgotten gems which need to be recovered from the treasure trove. The vast diversity and the unique characteristics of each individual director define the dynamics of filmmaking. Right from using abusive content to utilizing every actor to the right extent and mind-blowing themes, Bollywood has advanced itself with not just a good storyline, but some flawless aspects of direction and other major elements.

Today, we bring you a list of Bollywood crime/thrillers;

Paanch (2003)

The film is written and directed by Anurag Kashyap which is "loosely" based on the 1976-77 Joshi-Abhyankar serial murders in Pune. However, due to some issues related to content, the film never made it to theatrical or home-video release. The film's theme is what one needs to keep a look out for as the theme tends to go dark at a certain extent.

Gulaal (2009)

The film offers shocking blows as it turns out to be one of the best masterpieces Bollywood has offered so far. The film features a law student from Rajpur who is assaulted and abused by a gang led by Jadhwal. Shocking enough? Well, why don't you give it a try?

Stoneman murders (2009)

Firstly, we would warn you this film is not for the faint-hearted. The film revolves around a serial killer who stalks the streets of Bombay to ruthlessly kill the pavement dwellers while they are asleep. Sounds intense right? But it is worth your time and every minute you indulge yourself with this classic.

Johnny Gaddaar (2007)

The film utilizes each and every actor as they tend to deliver flawless performances throughout the film. The suspense, the action, and the storyline are an amalgamation of what movie buffs look out for!

Manorama Six Feet Under (2007)

The film is full of suspense as it keeps you grasped until the very end of the film. Adding to it, the film also has a social message to serve the best cinematic experience.

Top Honorable mentions;

Mirch Masala (1987)

A woman-oriented film set in the backdrop of colonial India offers you an all-new story from back in 1987. The film can certainly be termed as a way ahead of its time!

Sehar (2005)

Ajay Kumar the newly appointed, honest SSP of Lucknow police cracks down on the nefarious cop-mafia nexus in Uttar Pradesh but finds a cunning and ruthless adversary in Gajraj.

Satya (1998)

The film is based on Mumbai underworld! Already sounds exciting right? Well, Ya! We strongly recommend you this film!
