Fashion Face Off: Priyanka Chopra vs. Deepika Padukone

Two of Bollywood's most respected actresses, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, have marked their presence on a global level by entering Hollywood. Padukone's movie, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, released last week; whereas Chopra's Baywatch is scheduled to hit the screens this May, in addition to her successfully running American series, Quantico. The reason BollyCurry writes today, is not to acknowledge their stardom or fame. These leading ladies of 2015's Bajirao Mastani have been in the news recently owing to the similar attire they sported in the past week. In today's edition of Fashion Face Off, we take a look at Chopra and Padukone's outfits to find out who rocked the look better.

 

Priyanka Chopra graced the Golden Globes 2017 Awards wearing a golden gown with a plunging V neckline. The Ralph Lauren gown featured a beige tone, and was custom made and hand embroidered. Chopra paired the outfit with a beautiful necklace and simple earrings. Her make up was bold and matched perfectly with her outfit. She opted for champagne coloured eyeshadow, sharply shaped brows and complimented the look with deep burgundy matte lips. Her hair parted in the middle and was let loose in boho waves, matching with the neckline aptly. Chopra was at her stunning best on the red carpet, although we think she would have looked equally beautiful without the heavy neck piece.

 

Deepika Padukone adorned a Naeem Khan gown at the Indian premiere of her Hollywood debut movie. The gown was an all-sequin outfit made up of shimmery gold. With a neckline that ran all the way to her waist, and low cut back, the gown showed off Padukone's curves well. Her make up was kept simple with sharply defined eyes and nude lipstick. We couldn't help but notice that the loosely tied hair did not fit well with the gown and going for nude-shade lips probably was not the best idea. Other than that, Padukone looked gorgeous.

 

Both women stood out in their outfits, giving fashion critics a minimal chance of complaint. While Chopra went just over the top with the necklace, Padukone's nude makeup and bland hairstyle backfired. All in all, we at BollyCurry give the winning trophy to Priyanka Chopra. She not only stunned us with her appearance, but went on make a fashion statement at the event! That is what we like to call the Piggy Chops touch!
