Fashion Face Off: Sonam Kapoor vs. Parineeti Chopra (Diwali)

We hope the recent Diwali celebrations brought much joy and excitement to everybody's life. Concurrently bringing a lot of fashion hits and misses, it doesn't come as a surprise that some of the looks donned by our favourite celebrities were quite similar. The young starlets of B-Town Parineeti Chopra and Sonam Kapoor stepped out in outfits which bore an uncanny resemblance to one another. Not only were their outfits similar in colour, they were also similar in style!

Let's compare, shall we?

Parineeti attended the Diwali bash in a soft ivory, Ridhi Mehra lehnga that had a cape instead of a dupatta. The blouse and the border of the cape were embellished with silver sequins.  The actress went minimal on the accessories, sporting only a statement ring on her left hand. With her hair down and her face fresh with light natural looking makeup, pink lips and winged eyeliner, she looked the part of the bright-eyed ingenue.

On the same night at her family's Diwali bash, Sonam wore a white Anamika Khanna lehnga. Her lehnga was lighter than Parineeti's, though no less on the embellishments. In Sonam's case, the white top was embroidered with lace, as were the dupatta and skirt. She was fully accessorized with a statement necklace, some kadhas and a small pair of earrings. Also in her hand was a pretty white potli. Dramatic winged eyeliner and a sleek center-parted bun finished her look.

Both these fashionistas proved that they know how to dress up for a party, but there is something more put-together about Sonam's look as compared to Parineeti. At least, in our opinion.
