One of most applauded fashion magazines in the world, Vogue has been making Bollywood quite stylish since its liaison with India has came into being. To appreciate the hard work of our B-Town dwellers who tirelessly work towards beholding the name of fashion's high and mighty, The Vogue Beauty Awards are held each year. It's a night of glamour and glitter where beauty is rewarded, and being beautiful is the want of the hour. This year, the contenders stepped out dressed in their most priced armors. The Fashion Police brings you all the glory details of the night that was.

We can confidently inform you that he wasn't the only man at the awards, but he was the man of night for sureSidharth Malhotra attended the function wearing a dark suede suit with a white tee snuck inside. Sneakers for shoes and a wrist watch for an accessory completed the man. The ensemble may seem a tad bit towards the casual side but before he causes any causalities through our review, we just have to say Malhotra looked delicious and some more. Awarded as the Most Beautiful Man at the event, he looked true to his title. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5

Parineeti Chopra stepped out into the night wearing a wide-legged navy blue Dior jumpsuit. A hairdo and cherry red lips, spiked Tod clutch in gold and a pair of pointed black pumps completed her look. Now we won't be hard on our rocker chick but this appearance fails to earn a hall of fame ticket from our side. For what is actually wrong here is the same glitch that Ms. Chopra always presents; a dress not chosen according to her body type. The dress makes her look a tad bit to short, and doesn't help in elevating her personality at all, making her look passable. Plus, the bad hem job done to shorten the dress ruins the perfection that Dior calls for. BollyCurry Rating: 2.5/5

Ms. Qureshi has recently been in the news for all the right reasons, appreciating beauty in all of its forms being one. Here at the beauty awards, her appearance will yet again be remembered for the greater reasons. Wearing a black gown by Amit Aggarwal, Huma Quershi looked absolutely divine, her hourglass figure an envy. An updo, smokey eyes, berry lips and t-strapped sandals completed her ensemble that charmed us all. That gown was a perfect choice for making a statement that what she practices what she preaches. BollyCurry Rating: 4.5/5

Kajol Devgn
Kajol Devgn is one of our most favorite celeb who has evolved brilliantly in the department of being fashionable in its true sense. But a miss time and again can be put down to human nature of making wrong choices we believe. At the awards, Devgn chose to wear a light peach lace pantsuit by Shehla Khan, paired with Amrapali jewelry, golden pumps by Charles and Keith and a Jimmy Choo silver sparkly clutch. Sleek hair and a wonderfully done makeup completed her look. If we pretend that Devgn is wearing something other than stolen tapestry, this is the best styling we've seen her spotting but alas our department of imagination is null. BollyCurry Rating: 3/5

The gorgeous Neha Dhupia attended the awards wearing Huemn separates paired with black platform pumps. A sleek ponytail and neutral makeup was all that was needed for this 'entrepreneur meet enrapture' look. What added more value to this look was the Outhouse gold choker necklace, giving a more definite finish to this appearance. Kudos to Ms. Dhupia for being experimental and confident about her choices. We wouldn't change a single thing about this one. BollyCurry Rating: 5/5

Ileana D'Cruz
Ileana D'Cruz was seen wearing a strapless Komal Sood chiffon gown in lavender with a sequined bodice at the awards. The styling comprised of side swept hair, soft makeup with diamonds studs and a ring for accessories. The gown was a safe choice for D'Cruz and she did look gorgeous in the outfit with the color complimenting her skin tone to finesse. But overall, there was nothing outstanding about this appearance, just generic. BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5

The yummy mummy Shilpa Shetty chose a black Monisha Jaising couture gown for the awards. Bouffant ponytail, dramatic eyes and diamond earrings completed her look. With a perfect body like hers, the silhouette is always enticing and Shetty here as well looked suave and sexy. But even with all those cuts of creativity, the whole ensemble screamed boring. The pageant hair and the repetitiveness of this styling doesn't makes us sit up and take notice. BollyCurry Rating: 3/5

Nimrat Kaur may be a part of the unconventional, better known as art cinema, but that doesn't mean she belongs to the cotton saree stereotype. Kaur has proven that she has enough knowledge about what's in vogue and what is not by being spotted in different styles and labels on numerous occasions. For the awards night, Kaur picked out a sheer beaded gown by Shehla Khan with peach lining. Dark lips, a retro hairdo and peach pumps wrapped up this look. The only culprit of ruining this ensemble was the lining. The unwanted folds, half the length and the shiny material all added up to tear the beauty of the sheer gown. Though neck up, Kaur looked stunning. BollyCurry Rating: 3/5

Aditi Rao Hydari made her presence felt at the beauty awards when she turned up wearing a Monisha Jaising couture dress in black with a golden motif design. The beautiful actress lived up to her porcelain doll image looking extremely delicate but sexy as well. The dark red lips, well defined eyes and side swept hair added to the fierceness she wanted but alas some people just can't wash away their cuteness quotient. BollyCurry Rating 4/5

'Queen' Kangana Ranaut graced the awards night dressed in a Namrata Joshipura creation. Her hair in natural curls, Ranaut paired her dress with Tom Ford sandals, some chunky earrings and a statement cuff. Natural makeup and baby pink lips finished up her look. A daring dress but definitely not a pretty one, Ranaut's charm was the only saving grace. The high waist briefs peek-a-booing through the sheer embellished skirt was a recipe for disaster. Heavily inspired from Dior, the dress is something that has no identity of its own and even if you call us traditionalists, we believe Indian designers should not leave their ethnicity for someone else's. BollyCurry Rating: 2.5/5

Beauty needs no rouge to be appreciated but neither should making it corporeally personified be denied and thus fashion has its own place in making beauty a joy forever. Vogue celebrates beauty through all its endeavors, these awards being one, presenting an opportunity for our celebs to show how responsible they are towards being stylish. Let us know who you thought was most diligent in their efforts in the comment section below.
