Spotted: Celebs Around Town

With one striking appearance after another, your beloved Fashion Police is back to review who made heads turn and who lacked gusto with their various attires in this week's Spotted. Without much ado, let's get critiquing!

  

 

After back to back outrageous and quirky appearances, this one came down as a pleasant surprise for our eyes. The frivolous Punjabi lad, Ranveer Singh, who is busy promoting his upcoming flick Gunday, was spotted at the sets of a dance reality show donning a deep blue Armani suit which he paired with a white shirt and dark brown shoes. The overall look was simple yet sophisticated. With hair gelled back and the twinkling glint in his eyes, this time Singh has successfully managed to impress our cynical souls. 

 

The renowned fashionista of our Tinsel Town recently attended a product launch of which she endorses. Sonam Kapoor stepped out in a white Dolce and Gabbana knee length dress with black lace appliques to balance the A-line silhouette. The actress paired the ensemble with a Dolce and Gabbana clutch and black pumps. The style diva went for retro inspired look with her in classic waves and make-up which made her features more prominent. She definitely made the rather unflattering outfit work with her clever choice of styling. 

 

Jacqueline Fernandez was spotted at The Times Good Food Awards donning a long red lace dress. The Dolce and Gabbana number was paired with a silver clutch, sparkling blue earring and nude pointed heels. Fernandez finished the look with Bordeaux lips and hair let loose over her shoulder. Although the dress and accessories looked great on their own, put together and it's a no go area. Might we suggest a different clutch and shoes? Another lip color would also do wonders to the outfit.

 

The former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen, was seen at a recent book launch spotting her favorite color - black. Ms. Sen has nailed it again with this simple yet alluring look, making it difficult for us to take our eyes off this stunning lady. Clad in a black and white off-shoulder top and skinny jeans, she looked every bit of the beauty she is. Choosing to keep the look simple, she accessorized it with a high waist black woven belt and a cuff bracelet. Natural make-up with a dash of orange shaded lip color was yet another clever move. We're not too sure of the shoes though.

 

Kareena Kapoor Khan graced the launch held in honor of French First Lady Valrie Trierweiler in an Anand Kabra sari. Mrs. Khan decided to go down the traditional route for the event and she didn't fail to impress in the white high-slit sari with a golden border. The main star of the show though was the golden-brown crossed over blouse. The nude makeup, hair tied up in a sleek high ponytail and the earrings from Gehna completed the whole look. What we don't like, however, is the Pinky Saraf clutch. It could've been given a miss providing it doesn't go well with the otherwise graceful attire. Needless to say, she still looked stunning. 

 

Kalki Kochelin was spotted at a press meet wearing a Sailex pink floral sheer dress accessorized with House of Chic earrings. She opted for minimal makeup and nude sandals to finish off the look. However, the flashy satin underlay worked miserably against the dress and even the messy up-do couldn't help save this appearance. With high expectations set from her appearance at the Filmfare awards, Kochelin failed to deliver her best this time.
