Neha Dhupia and
Deepika Padukone, two popular female faces in
Bollywood, were spotted wearing similar outfits at different events
within months of each other. At times like these, the question that
always arises is -
'Who carried it off better?' Fashion Police is back once again to give their judgement on this face-off.
Actress and ambassador to many brands, Deepika wore the pink blouse
and white pants combination to the pre-wedding bash of Genelia D'Souza
and Riteish Deshmukh in early 2012. Months later, Neha, actress and
former Femina Miss India, wore a similar outfit to the premiere of The Avengers in Mumbai.
So, who looked better?
While
they both looked good, the Fashionistas would award that honour to the
charming
Deepika Padukone. She carried the outfit off effortlessly, from
head to toe.
For starters, the white pants she
wore clinched perfectly around the waist and with the form-fitted
around her thighs, it clings to her like a second skin. The colouring
not only compliments Deepika, it also adds a dash of completeness to the
outfit. We also love the addition of the slim cream belt. On the other
hand, Neha's pants were loose and flow-y, and not flattering to her
otherwise gorgeous figure. Deepika's hair as well, a high ponytail, bags
her another point. A classy business looking outfit such as this goes
well with a neat updo, and Neha's free and somewhat messy locks would
look better with something else.
On the whole,
the Fashionistas believe that Deepika looked elegant and put-together
at the casual bash to celebrate the union of two friends, while Neha
looked comparably more casual at a premiere of a worldwide releasing
movie, where one should not. Imitation might be the most sincere form of
flattery, but originality, after all, is better than anything. And
while Neha might not have tried to imitate Deepika, it does seem that
way to us, barring a few changes in the whole get-up.
You know the Fashionistas take, but who do you think pulled the outfit off better?
