Katrina's adieu to "Seven Days in Paris"

Katrinas adieu to"Seven Days in Paris" is in news. First, Katrina is intimidated with the extremely wordy hindi dialogs and asks for a script change. Then Imran gets too involved with the project and writes the screenplay of the movie and is set to even ghost direct it. And now, after the script is re-written Katrina is still not happy. Result …Kaif has walked out of Sanjay Gadhvi's "Seven Days in Paris".

This project has been talked quite a lot in the recent days because of the brilliant casting of the movie. Imran and Katrina were being slotted as the Kareena and Shahid of "Jab We Met". They were all over the news for their off-screen chemistry and work shops. But now, seems like Imran would need another partner to create the magic.

Why? What happened? … well, as you know, Katrina is not comfortable with hindi. In most of her films she's played the non-residential Indian or one staying in some English-speaking country for very long. But when she gets hindi dialogs she seems petrified and her only option left is to ask the director to make the dialogs more anglisized. This is what happened. Though director Gadhvi fulfilled her wishes, the end result was not what Katrina was looking for. Hence, she thought it better to leave the project.

If that doesn't seem like a good enough reason, there are some more you can look into. For one, Imran has become extremely obsessive over the film. He is already writing the screenplay and is now location scouting with Sanjay. Seems like he is following his Mamu jaan's footsteps towards ghost directing. But so early in his career? … That is something he needs to analyze. Especially because he's only one successful film old! Mamu jaan, I mean, Aamir Khan took 20 years to start ghost directing.

Coming back to the case in point, Katrina's adieu to the project. Sources say that she has been offered the main role in Siddharth Anand's next directorial venture that is being produced by the YashRaj films, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina needed to accept this tempting offer. After all, it's YashRaj and that too opposite Ranbir Kapoor!

So, what's the fate of Sanjay Gadhvi's film which is heroine-less at this moment? Kareena had schedule problems, Asin and Genelia are being considered. I hope this romantic comedy get's it's better half.

What do you think? What could be the reason for Katrina Kaif walking away from Imran and Gadhvi? Is it verbose hindi dialogs … Imran's over-indulgence … or YashRaj-Ranbir combination?
And whom would you think should be cast opposite Imran for this romantic comedy?
