Shruti Haasan's bikini do!

The latest star kid on the block 'Shruti Haasan' have dazzled the silver screen with her debut in Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.'s film 'Luck' directed by Soham Shah.

And while there are newbies who shy away from sporting a bikini in their very first film, Shruti seemed to be game <a href=

Says the debutant, "When Soham narrated the script, I did not even consider the bikini thing as a big deal it was logical to the premise. While shooting for it, the weather was very weird that day. It was freezing cold, but apart from that it was like any other scene in the film for me."

Informs the Director Soham, "Shruti did work out to get a toned body. Moreover she worked more hard to maintain it. We shot the sequence in Cape Town. The temperature was only two degrees. She had to brave the icy weather for the shoot."

The director also mentions, "The scene involves Imran Khan, Ravi Kishaan and Mithun Chakraborthy. Shruti was not at all apprehensive of wearing a two-piece swim wear as she was aware of it from before. The scene is totally justified as Ravi Kishaan's character pins his eyes on her."

The styling is done by the director's wife, Binal Shah who is a fashion designer. She says, "I bought a plain Bebe bikini that fitted Shruti perfectly. I then embellished it with mother of pearls in shades of green that matched the night pool ambience."

Well, for a debutante, Shruti's confidence and zeal are quite inspiring, we must say!

shruti hassan can act in d movie and if she was tryin 2 get attention in d movie , its not only her huz worn a bikini 2 get viewers attention so has so many other actresses lyk kareena , amrita and manyyyy more ....?!
buh she rocks in d movies and luved d song she sang in her film ...x

ya, it would be funny if she came out of the pool in clothes. but the point is that there was no need for the pool scene. she could have been walking/sitting/eating/staring in space ... anything and the scene would have been just the same. There was no "need" for a bikini as shruti says

so is it compulsory to wear a bikini and say, "the script demanded this..."? saw the movie and trust me- the bikini was not neccessary. bottom line: its for publicity and hype.

it would have been funny if she came out of the pool wearing clothes. Also, why do they keep saying Kamal Hasan's daughter. They can also say Sarika and Kamal Hasan's daughter.

it is really not a big deal nowadays, with heroines anyways wearing clothes like bikini in any situation whether it's required or not .. even on tv shows which is supposed to be the entertainment for family also have degraded so much , what can we expect from bollywood?

urghhh!!!! .... can actors please stop saying "the role demanded it" ..... i saw the film, the scene was nowhere ""logical to the premise"" .... something that could have been done with clothes on .... she gets out of the pool in slow motion, dries herself, puts on a robe and talks to ravi kishan ... the scene could have been done in any clothes ....

i have no problem with women in bikini .... but can they please just say - that we wear the bikini bec it gets attention/hype/publicity ..... kareena, bipasa or many other countless actresses before them - nowhere was it "required" by the film
