Marriage is not important: Patralekha

Patralekha made her debut in B-town with director Hansal Mehta's film 'Citylights' and is presently busy shooting for her upcoming film 'Love Game'. Well, it's party time for the actress as she turns 26 today. 

In a conversation with us, Patralekha shares about her birthday plans and other aspects as well.

How are celebrating your 26^th birthday?

I'll be shooting in the first half and in the evening I'll go for dinner with my friends.

So anything special that you are doing for your birthday this time?

No. I am shooting so that's special enough for me (laughs).

What is that one thing that you do on your every birthday?

Yes, I meet up with very close friends of mine and call them for dinner. It's really special because you are celebrating with people whom you love and the people whom you want to be with. Also, Bombay is such a busy place and you don't get to meet them.

Any memories from your childhood birthday celebration that you remember?

Yes, my childhood birthday celebrations are very memorable and I was in a boarding school the norm was everybody had to be like a boarder. You could not be like a day scholar. So we had like some 60-70 people in a class. So you get a limited amount of food and one kind of food. So birthdays used to be special because you get birthday cakes. So we could order a cake and eating that cake used to be so special with other 60-70 friends of yours. So those days were really special for me.

What is the best birthday gift that you have got till today?

There was this particular bag that I really wanted and I couldn't afford it as it was really very expensive but it was in my bucket list. So somebody special gifted me that bag which I had no clue about. So that was the best birthday gift I've ever received (exclaims).

Any expectations from Rajkummar Rao for your birthday?

Every year I've got expectations and every year he lives up to it!

So are you guys going to marry anytime soon?

I am just beginning my career and he is in a good state. Marriage is not important and if it has to happen it will happen but not for the moment.

According to reports in media we hear that the character from your upcoming film 'Love Game' is inspired from a Hollywood film. What's your take on that?

No. You wait for the trailer to come out; you guys will be quite surprised as the character I am playing here is very different. The problem is right now I can't talk as the trailer is launching on the 28^th. I've been strictly asked to not to talk about the character as it's important to the film.
