Bhupen Hazarika in ICU

Mumbai, July 1 (IANS) Noted singer-composer Bhupen Hazarika, who was hospitalized on Tuesday night due to weakness, has been shifted to the ICU, his wife said Friday.

Kalpana Lajmi, confirming the news, said that Bhupen has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Kokilaben Hospital and is slowly responding to medication.

'He was admitted Tuesday night because of weakness, as he has not been eating. He was in emergency and he has been shifted to ICU. He is responding slowly to the medicine and under nasal feeding,' Lajmi told IANS.
