Prince Vivek Selects his Princess!

And time at last has come for the Prince of 'multiple-attachments' to commit himself to one!

It's showtime indeed, for the grapevine is abuzz with the latest scoop which claims an assured upcoming matrimonial leap for actor Vivek Oberoi. Yes, Vivek shall be tying the knot this year, and the bride-to-be - who incidentally has been chosen by Vivek's parents Suresh and Yashodhra Oberoi making this alliance an arranged one - is Priyanka Alva, the daughter of Janata Dal's late politician Jeevaraj Alva.

More on Priyanka - She is a management graduate from USA, who happens to share with Vivek his streak for social welfare and reform. Among her MBA courses there were those which dealt with the study of NPOs/NGOs. Her mother Nandini Alva is a social activist herself. She is said to be a girl of an easy, unaffected disposition and a balanced solemnity of character. The chosen bride also happens to list dancing among her hobbies. One can already begin to imagine a time in future which shall find this to-be-wedded couple boogieing their way on an Award ceremony stage or such! ... But all that is only speculation at the moment.

The more concrete news deals with the possibility of Priyanka and Vivek getting engaged the 3rd of September, which happens to be Vivek's birthday. Marriage is expected to follow in October, 2010. Choreographer Padmini Ravi has been revealed as the cupid to have struck this match.

Of course, there has never been a dearth of gossip on Vivek and his self asserted, or alleged affairs. It is then a change for the good, that the young actor has decided to settle down, so all such distractions may in the future be kept at bay, while he steadies himself to grow in his career.
