Minissha plays - a school kid?

In one simple word Shyam Benegal is an "institution" in himself. When I was approached for this role I felt it was a joke. When I was briefed about the character I was shocked and terrified but Shyamji made it quite simple for me. He's an amazing person to work with.


Could you elaborate on your character in the movie Well Done Abba?

My Character name is Muskan. I play the role of a village school going girl. She is not like the stereotypical village girl. In layman language she is a "pattaka". She is an independent and bold character. She represents the upcoming female generation of India where in the movie she as a kid tells her parents to go to school and learn to read and write.


What are your expectations from the movie?

Im very confident and positive about the movie reviews because it is a very sweet movie which audience would enjoy. It's a 'paisa vasoo'l types. And every actor always expects his movies to do well. And also shymaji has directed the movie in a very entertaining way so I hope people love it.


How much do you relate yourself to the character in your movie?

Very much I would say. Except for the social background Muskan is from.


And what aspects of your character did you pay special attention on?

See more then character in the nascent stage I had so many notions about Shyamji that I wanted to be at my best on the sets. So I used to reach there on time, wont speak much listen to him patiently. And anyways I'm very critical about myself and feel there is always scope for improvement.

And except that infact the entire crew had to work real hard time on learning the Dakhani language though we had tuitors appointed to teach us. Yet I caught the rhythm and flavor only after I reached hyderabad and started reciprocating with my driver.


How was your experience working with Boman Irani?

I have worked with him earlier too. So on sets rapport just got better then before. He's just so very calm and composite always. As we all were shooting in 45 degree temperature it was quite normal for any one to lose one's temper but as soon as we used to get free time he used start some games and try keep our mind active. He's an amazing person to be work with.


Any memorable incidents on the sets with Shyamji?

Working with Shyamji itself is a life time experience. But to be more specific shyamji wated this character Muskan to look as simple and natural as she could and loved to put kajal in my eyes. So at times I used to apply it secretly yet he used to notice it and order to wipe off immediately.


What are your Future Projects?

Im working on a movie named 'Hum Tum Aur Shabana'. And I'm playing the role of Shabana. It's a love triangle with Shreyas Talpadi and Tusshar Kapoor.

Nishant, Mandi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Welcome to Sajjanpur.


What is your greatest fascination?

I love adventure Sports, I recently learned kite surfing in goa.


What is your dream role?

I'm a history buff im not interested in knowing the future. So I would like to do a period film one like Jodha Akbar.
