Award winning filmmaker Rajeevnath says his next film has American soccer as the backdrop.

The director told IANS that the shoot begins next month in Washington DC and it will be shot in a month.

Another highlight of the film is that it will feature five of yesteryear actresses, including Geetha, Mathu, Suchithra, Suvarana and Srilatha, who are all now settled in the US.

"The story line is all these five actresses are sisters and settled in the US, while their only brother is settled in Kerala. In Kerala, he runs into trouble and the five sisters decide to bring him to the US," said Rajeevnath.

He added that the young man, played by a new face, knows a bit of Kerala's traditional medicine, which he learned after observing his uncle, a hugely popular proponent of traditional medicine.

"Once in the US, the most popular American soccer player gets injured and this young man ventures to try a hand out and as soon as he runs his hands on the soccer player's body, he gets better. Along with this, there is a huge media publicity, which makes him a hero in the US," said Rajeevnath.

The film will be shot in Washington DC for 25 days and a portion would be shot in the backyard of a hugely popular traditional physician in Kottayam district.

Script writer and director-turned-actor Renji Panicker plays the role of the traditional physician.

Rajeevnath, 65, has penned the story of the film.
