Tamil actor Prasanna Venkatesan, who plays a bridegroom in the upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Kalyana Samayal Saadham" (KSS) -- a story about a big fat south Indian wedding, says he missed remarrying his wife-cum-actor Sneha on screen.

"It would have been a wonderful experience to marry Sneha all over again. In fact, to marry someone else on screen made me miss her more than ever. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed getting married on screen for KSS," Prasanna told IANS.

He says initially he was to team with Sneha for KSS, but they dropped the idea on mutual consensus.

"We planned to work together in the film, but later realised that we didn't want to cash in on our real-life relationship. We share a very personal relationship and, therefore, we didn't want to do a film just for the heck of it," he said.

However, he confirmed they will soon be seen together on the big screen.

"We got plenty of offers to work together post-wedding, but we didn't take them up. We will soon be seen together in a Tamil film to be directed by my dear friend Arun Vaidyanathan, who has co-produced KSS," he added.

Prasanna married Sneha on May 11, 2012. KSS was one of the projects he began working on soon after the wedding.

He admits that filming for KSS brought back memories of his own wedding.

"It was super fun because it brought back lot of memories. I could revisit every moment that made my wedding special. But KSS is more than just the ceremonial part of a wedding. It shows things like the colours and chaos of a south Indian wedding," he said.

KSS is directed by debutant R.S Prasanna. It also features Lekha Washington, Crazy Mohan, Delhi Ganesh and Uma Padmanabhan in important roles.

What made you work with a debutant director?

"I give prime importance to content but not whether I'm working with a debutant or not. I was impressed with the way Prasanna (director) promised to execute the film. Most importantly, the plot of the film is fresh and has been untouched in Tamil cinema," the actor said.

"(Producer) Arun (Vaidyanathan) was hell-bent that I do this film because he didn't want to do it with anyone else. I have immense respect for Arun and I trust him," he added.

The film is co-produced by Vaidyanathan and Ananth Govindan.
