Vaibhav to play lead in 'Pizza 2: Villa'

Southern actor Vaibhav Reddy has been roped in to play the lead in the upcoming Tamil film "Pizza 2: Villa", a sequel to Tamil horror-thriller "Pizza".

"Pizza" starred Vijay Sethupathi and was one of the biggest low-budget hits of 2012. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film's story revolved around the escapades of a pizza delivery boy.

"Vaibhav and Sajitha Shetty will pay the lead in 'Pizza 2: Villa', which will be directed by debutant director Deepan Chakravarthy," producer C.V. Kumaran said in a statement. "The rest of the cast will be finalised soon. The film will go on the floors in April."

Made on a shoestring budget of Rs.1.5 crore, "Pizza" reportedly garnered over Rs.5 crore at the box-office. Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar has already bought the Hindi remake rights of the film.
