Fashion Movie Review After Chandni Bar, Page 3, Corporate and Traffic Signal, Madhur has hit a master stroke with Fashion exposing the murky underbelly of the most glamorous profession in the world. Never getting preachy and avoiding stereo types Madhur efficiently handles the subject without getting judgmental even once. He has outshined himself in the technical department making Fashion the slickest product till date.

Fashion is a story of an ambitious small-town girl Meghna Mathur (Priyanka Chopra">Priyanka Chopra) who wants to make it big in the fashion industry as a supermodel. In the city of dreams, Mumbai starts her struggle to reach the top. Paving her way through model coordinators, portfolio photographers, talent managers, fashion designers, media moguls and business magnates she finally gets to rule the ramp. She clearly understands than the ramp calls for some attitude but with success her attitude upgrades into arrogance. And this overconfidence gets her down the slope of success. Back to square one, it's nearly impossible for Meghna to make her comeback. But she isn't the one to accept defeat.

Fashion Movie Review The screenplay by Madhur, Anuradha Tiwari and Ajay Monga peeks deep into the reality of the fashion world and touches every single aspect of the industry such as casting couch, gay designers, wild lifestyle of models who can't handle success, backstage dramas during major fashion shows, manipulative head honchos and attitude problems of successful people. After holding the audience's attention captive for a major portion, the screenplay tends to drag towards the finale moments. Niranjan Iyengar's dialogues strike a chord.

Playing Meghna was Priyanka's most challenging roles of her career, but she delivers the goods successfully. Kangana despite a short role ends up giving an award worthy performance. Even though it is her debut film, Mugdha Godse shows extreme confidence. Arbaaz Khan and Sameer Soni are good. Arjan Bajwa acts well. Kitu Gidwani is graceful whereas Ashwin Mushran is very likeable.

On the whole, the movie was perfect. It can make you cry, make you laugh, and even make you realise what is the real world. Bhandarkar's perfect casting also lifts the film to a completely different level. In fact one wouldn't be surprised if Madhur manages to win a National Award with this film as well! Also, perhaps for the first time his climax is not dark where the protagonist ends up being a loser! The film has a bitter-sweet ending.

this was such a wonderful movie. SLICK is a really good word to use to describe this movie. Practically everything was at par. Acting was fantastic, screen play was nice, direction was great, aweeeesome costumes, apt music, no nonsense.... it probably is the finest movie I''ve seen till date.

Priyanka FINALLY got a good role that did complete justice to her as an actress. She was just amazing. Mugdha Godse was very likable, can''t wait to see more of her, she''s gorgeous :) and Kangna Ranaut, WOW. She is a powerhouse actress

Amazing....this is the movie of the year till now!!! Madhur Bhandarkar has elicited spectacular performances from all three leads.
Kangana may have got the same drug addict-y kind of roles before but the performance she has given in Fashion deserves an applause.
Mugdha Godse is absolutely cute in the movie.

And Priyanka Chopra is....well she will get lots of awards for this performance the ambitious young model Meghna Mathur. The climax scene was a real rocker....her best performance till date.

Bhandarkar will surely walk away with all the awards and he deserves to!

aaaaaahhhhhhh after a long time such a FANTASTIC movie....absolutely luved it! it felt like i m in d movie from d start to end....it really does touch u! i think this was kangana''s best acting till date(for me)...she''s becoming my fav after this movie...her act was soooooooooo real! her expressions...omgiiii...it will leave u with a very gud impression...n yes priyanka is bak with a fantastic character...

i agree its a bold film...not a family one...but if ur appropriately aged...u must watch it...paisa vasul! i m happy that i didnt miss such a gud film..

I saw this movie w/ subs on youtube and loved it!!! It was a an awesome movie w/ great acting from everyone, but loved Priyanka the most!!! A must watch, go for it!!!

Fashion has made it''s mark, carved a niche and will go down as one of the well made films of hindi cinema..you feel for shonali not kangana,you feel for meghna not priyanka and that''s what it should be like..go watch fashion before it''s too late

Fashion may not be a film you can
sit & watch with everyone

But whoever watches the film will say that
regardless of the bold nature
it does ultimately..make a point

I would also like to mention that I don''t cry easily
But this film did make me feel the trauma

Priyanka is awesome as Meghna

Fashion is a bold gritty film,
less provocative than Madhur''s previous films

As he merely touched the surface of many issues

But maybe he did this because
they are far too disturbing to delve into any deeper

Kangna was good, but her character is not much different from Gangster & some other roles she has done before
but you do feel for Shonali

Mugdha Godse is bitter-sweet as Janet
She is a model who can act

Don''t know if the film will rock the box office or anything
But Priyanka deserves to be applauded.
