Drona film review

Fantasy films are rare in Bollywood. But, by making a film like ‘Drona’ Goldie Behl has took a courageous step. However, the screen play is a mess. The writers Jaydeep Sarkar, Rohini Killough and Goldie Behl fails to make an impact by their work..

And what’s more disappointing is that a lot has been spent on the movie to give it a different look. Everything went on perfect but,the more than story of ‘Drona’ it’s the visual effects that makes it unforgettable. Its like a dining table all set with the best crockery but, no food in it.

Drona is a tale of a boy named Aditya (Abhishek Bachchan) who has never known love and is brought up by a family where all he gets to know is taunts and humiliations. As he grows up enters a evil wizard Riz Raizada( Kay Kay Menon), an adherent of Asuras. He wishes the secret ‘Amrit’ but, to get it he has to defeat Drona. Now the problem arises is that he is not aware, who is Drona.
A day comes when Aditya and Riz face each other and Riz notices the ‘kada’ in Aditya’s hand and recognizes him as Drona. Knowing this Riz men begin chasing him but, he is saved by Sonia (Priyanka Chopra">Priyanka Chopra) who makes Afitya realize of his true identity –‘Drona’.

Sonia takes Aditya to his birth place where he meets his mother, Queen Jayati (Jaya Bachchan). Here he gets to know more about himself and his family. But, once again Riz army catch up with him and from here begins the Drona’s journey.

Drona is also high at special effects . Sameer Arya’s cinematography and Tania Behl’s production design is good.Abhishek Bachchan has done a good job. Priyanka is equally good . Kay Kay is not that impressive. Jaya Bachchan’s has been impressive but the only flaw is she has less footage in the movie.
On whole, the movie lacks content. At box-office the movie may get a good response with its opening but, as the initial days will pass its fall is for sure.

this was more like a hollywood movie...well based on our indian Amrit Jal story...it's wiered how people luv hollywood movies based on their american or british beliefs, and when they try to make COOL like this in bollywood based on indian beliefs, people dun like it:-p I find that kinda WIERED about people

Drona
Well movie is OK. but lot of actions. I dont know whats going to happen to this movie. Abhishek acted OK along with Prianka but goldy Bheal could not make it as good as krish was. So I cant tell if it is going to be a big sucess. But I can tell its not going to be flop.

waste of time
I agree with the review except for the performance part...i say the best performance was from Kay Kay & worst from small B!
they paid too much attention to the layout that they forgot abt the real story! Adi becoming a Drona shb have been done better....he under goes no physical transformation that would make him a Drona - a chosen one rather than a common man!
the action sequences were pretty thud & the most important part when Riz faces Drona it was done horribly wrong.
Priyanka's action wasn't that impressive i found it quite funny at times & i found adi a loser through the flim he hasn't achieved a single thing in life.

The only part the film i liked was when Drona see blue roses near his dad's grave & realizes y there was always a blue petal when he felt lonely! Only moment in the film that touched me was when Drona's mum turns into a sand statue & tears roll down her eyes.

Overall a pretty lame film!

my friends went to watch it and thought that it was really boring! i have not watched it yet! but it seems like not-so-good movie! but even though, i will watch it! =]]

i saw the movie... n MY GODDDDD WHT A WASTE!!!! I knew it wasnt gonna b gud but i went for my friend n seriously i wanted to cry cuz it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad..!!! its actually for kids but evn for them... its yuk... i mean.... dnt they see the movie properly bfre releasin it..!! but have to appreciate KK Menons Actin..!!! BRILLIANT!!! he is the reason y i sat thru the movie..!!! but the rest was jus arghhhhhhhhh... my serious advice... DNT WATCH IT!!! [:$]
