Govinda's upcoming film, Rangeela Raja, created a stir in Bollywood after Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) reportedly refused to certify the film and ordered 20 cuts. The film, helmed by former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, was slated to release on November 16.

Now amidst the ongoing controversy, the actor opened up on the same during a recent press conference and said, "This has been happening for the last nine years where a group of people in the film industry is conspiring against me and not letting my films release on any good platform."

Further citing example of his last release Fryday, Govinda pointed out, "Either my films are not getting a release or they are not getting good number of theatres or screens. The recent example was Fryday which released a few weeks ago and media gave it a good review. They took the film away from theatres." Additionally, the actor stated that he doesn't have financiers or producers backing him and fails to understand why so many cuts are given by CBFC.

On the other hand, Pahlaj has moved to Bombay High Court to seek help and feel feels current CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi should be sacked. "He did watch Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan but did not watch my film. Later he watched and gave a list of unnecessary cuts without any reference of the guideline from the rulebook," he suggested during the press meet.

Now what fate does Rangeela Raj has to endure, is still left to be seen.
