Priyanka Chopra's Marchesa gown had something to do with #MeToo

Priyanka Chopra is a woman of substance and she has proved it once again. After kicking off a storm at her bridal shower, she walked right into one where she had to face backlash for wearing a Marchesa gown. Marchesa is a brand owned by her friend Georgina Chapman who is the ex-wife of Harvey Weinstein. In Hollywood's #MeToo movement, Harvey too was accused of sexually assaulting a teen.

However, Gerogina got divorced right after the charges of sexual assault against Harvey came to light yet she is facing people's disgust. PeeCee got trolled badly wearing her design but she knew how to handle haters. She being a loyal friend and a 'woman for a woman' kinda girl stood up for her friend and cleared the air. She said that she had intentionally worn a Marchesa gown because she wanted to support her longtime friend and designer Georgina.

 

Priyanka said to a leading US daily,"Georgina's a friend of mine And it's not her fault. I don't think it's right to take it out on a selfmade woman what somebody in her life did. That's the wrong attitude. I've known her for years, and that was a beautiful gown, and deserved to be worn by a brideto-be. It made me feel like a princess. It was the right choice," 

Priyanka who is all set to marry International sensation Nick Jonas made us proud once again with her choice.
