Here's why Amitabh Bachchan will have a LOW-KEY Birthday this year

Amitabh Bachchan will be turning 76 this year on 11th of October. But contrary to last year when he celebrated his 75th B'day with full flair, he will keep it  rather low key. The reason is the demise of Krishna Raj Kapoor, wife of the mega star Raj Kapoor. She was the reason of the great bond shared by the Kapoors of Bollywood.

Talking about Krishna Raj Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan penned down a heartfelt message and said,"Krishna Raj Kapoor .. the matriarch of the family .. the epitome of grace and dignity .. gentle and loving to all .. caring .. faultless in etiquette and family protocol .. she kept this vast family of celebrated individuals together as one bond .."

Krishna Raj Kapoor was the mother of Shweta Bachchan Nanda's mother in law Ritu Nanda. Amitabh knew this star wife very closely and hence in his blog on her demise, he remembered the advise which Krishna Raj Kapoor had for new brides. He wrote what she said,"when you shall go as a bride into your husbands home, you must decide whether you want to carry scissors with you or a pair of knitting needles .. ! scissors symbolising the cutting of relations in the new home and family ; knitting needles , to knit the family together .."

The demise of Krishna will be the reason of Amitabh having a low key birthday and well, she deserves all the respect as she was a lady of substance. In his blog, Amitabh also revealed Krishna's wish to be sent off with a multi religion prayer after her death. His decision to mellow down his bday celebrations is a worth a praise and we the now know the reason is justified too.
