Kapoor Family's ANCHOR, Krishna Raj Kapoor PASSES AWAY...

Late legendary actor, Raj Kapoor's wife, and Kapoor family's anchor, Krishna Raj Kapoor, left for heavenly abode this morning. She was 87 and died peacefully, confirmed her son, Randhir Kapoor.

Krishna, who married Raj Kapoor in May 1946, is survived by her sons Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, and daughters Ritu Nanda and Rima Kapoor-Jain.

Randhir took to his twitter to share the news. He posted: "Regret to announce I lost my mother early this morning. She died peacefully."

A few other B-town celebs too expressed their grief through their Twitter posts.

Actress Raveena Tandon wrote, "Condolences to the entire Kapoor family. An era passes away,#KrishnaRajKapoor. God give you strength,and may the soul rest in peace. Om Shanti. @chintskap"

Suhel Set shared his condolences and posted: "Deeply saddened to learn the passing on of Krishna Raj Kapoor ji. A formidable woman, the Kapoor Khandaan anchor and an amazing human being. @chintskap @realnikhilnanda."
