Don't come too close, Prachi Desai tells Tusshar Kapoor

Mumbai, April 20 (IANS) Tusshar Kapoor says Prachi Desai, who stars opposite him in 'Life Partner', was not comfortable doing intimate scenes with him and was too much into the 'don't touch me' mode.

'She is just a 20-year-old girl yaar and a shy one at that,' Tusshar said. 'What could I have done other than wait for the passage of time? I tried talking to her and get into frequent chats. She was a lot into 'Don't touch me' and 'Don't get too close to me' mode,' Tusshar told IANS.

'Even though she may not have said so all the time, I could make out that she was uncomfortable. I reasoned with her that though off camera she could be the way she wants, once the camera is rolling, there is nothing wrong if we get cosy,' he added.

Tusshar plays Prachi's husband in the movie so it was near impossible for them to not have any intimate scenes. Ultimately director Rumi Jaffrey suggested that Tusshar to establish a friendship with her off the camera.

'This was during our very first schedule and a honeymoon sequence had to be shot. Looking at Prachi's discomfort, Rumi sir asked us to be at least friends off the camera as well. He made us have some dinners together so that we could open up further with each other,' Tusshar said.

A crew member said on condition of anonymity: 'For Tusshar, it was a precarious situation since he hadn't faced such situation before. However, in case of Prachi, he had to be extra cautious in front of the camera.'

This comes as a surprise considering Prachi, who made her big screen debut as Farhan Akhtar's wife in 'Rock On!', is quite close to his sister Ekta Kapoor and a regular visitor in their household.

Since his sister knows Prachi so well, isn't it natural that she shared a good relationship with him as well?

'This wasn't really the case', said Tusshar, 'She did come to our house earlier as well but we didn't interact much. We seldom got into any conversations. I had to change my approach though once we started working together.'

Did Tusshar's words work for Prachi? Well, that would be there for all to see once 'Life Partner' releases in June or July.

Prachi is a very sweet actress & it`s not right to comment on her this way as she`s done a real good job in kasamse&rock on.she`s just 20 &she needs her time &it`s really a person`s choice as to what role she must do&it`s really bad about tusshar to comment on a co actress this way.Even he might have gone through several difficulties in his initial stage as an actor.i must say this is truly rude on his side to comment this way.we love u prachi.keep going.u`re the best.

@prachi sana: let me tel u the truth i a mnot even confortable when some1 touch am serious...i mean frinds are ok who are very close to me i dont mind..if the person i know from..a week no way...i seriusly dont feel comfortable..lot of ppl have this habit

i don think she did anythin wrong there are many ppl who are not comfortable with touching and all that and she is ONE of them which is good that she is nat lyk all the otherz galz in bollywood they are TOO exposed now lol......nd also tusshar is too old for her....even amrita rao is lyk this....its jus that prachi desai is simple n that good.....don wryy prachi ur da best

tusshar is a sweet guy, after reading this article:) but prachi should get more into this, it is not saas bahu show any longer for her, but MOVIE!
