Rani Mukerji pens down a powerful letter on her 40th Birthday!

Rani Mukerji one of the most phenomenal actresses that we have in Bollywood turned 40 today. From her debut film Raja Ki Ayegi Baarat (1997) to her upcoming film 'Hichki', Rani has made her mark in Bollywood with her stunning performances and with her choices of film.

Although she was the daughter of the renowned director/producer late Ram Mukerji and that she had her connections in Bollywood, Mukerji reveals that her Bollywood journey wasn't easy because she was a woman.

In her heartfelt letter that she penned down on her 40^th birthday, the actress also slammed the sexist stereotypes that exist in the industry. Emphasising on the matter that she hates the word 'female-centric', Rani writes about how a female actors career gets over after she is married.

With her upcoming film 'Hichki', Rani aims to fade away the stereotype that married actresses with a child cannot act anymore in the industry. Read the letter here:
