Read why Sonam's relationship with Akshay was Edited from 'Padman'

Sonam Kapoor's biographical film 'Neerja' won hearts at the box office and the actress had received immense appreciation for the same. After 2 years, Sonam featured in another biographical film 'Pad Man' but in a pivotal role.

Though we could see her only in the second half of the film, Sonam's performance was hailed by the audience. The actress has received numerous appreciations for her character and everyone wanted to see more of Sonam in the film.

When Huffington Post asked Sonam about her short presence in Pad Man, she revealed, "There was more to that relationship than what was shown. It was edited out to make the film shorter. At the end of the day, if we were able to say what we wanted to say, I think it is okay".

"They couldn't remove the last few bits so they did what they could to keep it short", further revealed Sonam.

Talking about the reviews that she has been receiving for her film from the industry, Kapoor expressed, "Once your film releases, colleagues from within the film industry message you and share their feedback. What touched me the most, in this case, was that my contemporaries texted me. That's not something that happens generally. But my final validation comes from my director. And R. Balki was very happy with it. So I am happy".

About 2018, Sonam has an interesting line up of films. With a great start to the year with Pad Man, Kapoor will next be seen in Veere Di Wedding and in Dutt Biopic. The fashionista is currently filming for 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' which will mark her first-time screen appearance with dad Anil Kapoor.
