Padmavati Row: If I have provoked you to debate, I succeeded

As the film (Padmavati) has been suffering from many issues the Bollywood has come out in support of cast and the film. Starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh "Padmavati" has been pushed ahead for its release. Reportedly from December 1, it is shifted to February 2018.

Hansal Mehta who is a creative producer of the web series "Bose: Dead Or Alive" starring Rajkummar and Patralekha not just supports the film but, also says that the protestors are ignorant fools and not the torchbearer of our culture. "Fear and filmmakers don't go together. People need to see it, and if I have provoked you to debate, I succeeded. They (protesters) are ignorant fools, they are not torchbearers of our culture and they are the ones who need to watch Bose the most," said Hansal.

"I think this environment (of protests against films and art) empowers you. There won't be a rebellion if everything is good. There should be more political films made in this environment," he added.

Meanwhile, yesterday when Shahid was asked about the release he said, "We hope the film releases soon and the authorities help us release the film. I don't know the date (when the film will release)."

"I don't think there is anything in the film that is unacceptable or that is not in good taste. Eventually, Padmavati will come out and in full force. Our constitution says that you are innocent until proven guilty. Same should be extended to Padmavati, it should not be considered guilty even before it is provided for people to judge it," Shahid added.
