Aamir and SRK express concern for Deepika after she received threats

Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavati has become controversies favourite film of the year. This Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial is turning uglier by each passing day with threats from various fringe groups protesting against the release of the film.

Due to all this, the release date of Padmavati has tentatively suffered. On Sunday, the makers voluntarily decided to defer the release date of the film.

A few days ago, one of the Rajput group threatened Deepika of cutting off her nose after she released statements in the favour of the film. Despite these threats, Deepika is going out and out promoting Padmavati with tight Police security.

The actress has received immense support from social media and now the two Khan's of Bollywood - Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan also extended their support to Deepika.

A source said, "The moment Aamir read the news, he immediately called up Deepika to check on her. He was extremely concerned about her. Aamir and Deepika had a long conversation about the whole scenario and he assured her of being there for her if needed".

"Deepika's other co-stars including Shah Rukh Khan also called Deepika. Everyone has expressed concern. Deepika, on the other hand, is maintaining an extremely strong stand", added the source.

All we hope is that these issues surrounding Padmavati get sorted soon. And as Shahid Kapoor said yesterday, 'Eventually Padmavati will come out and in full force".
