There is a story doing rounds on 'Anushka Sharma will be playing Shahid Kapoor's heroine in the film "Batti Gul Meter Chalu".

However, when contacted Anushka's spokesperson, they have clearly slammed the news and said that there is no truth to it.

Shares her spokesperson, "There is absolutely no truth to this news. Anushka has not even been approached for this film. Request you to refrain from conjecture."
