OMG! Amitabh Bachchan's narrow escape after his car mishap in Kolkata

Amitabh Bachchan graced the inauguration of 23^rd annual Kolkata Film Festival last week in Kolkata. Big B had a narrow escape on his way back to the Airport as his car almost had an accident.

Amitabh Ji was traveling along with the state minister of West Bengal, Subrata Mukherjee in a travel agency-hired Mercedes to the Subash Chandra Bose International Airport, when one of the rear wheels of the car suddenly came off, reported a leading news agency.

"The wheel on the left rear-end of the Mercedes carrying Bachchan got detached from the vehicle on Dufferin Road when he was going to the airport to catch a flight for Mumbai on Saturday morning", the senior secretariat member told the agency.

Adding to this he further revealed, "The car was provided by a travel agency and we have show-caused it over the incident. After an investigation that was carried out, it was learned that the vehicle's 'certificate of fitness' had expired. And following that, a legal notice for penalty has already been sent to the travel agency in charge of Mr. Bachchan's transport across the city".

He also added that the agency was apparently paid a huge amount for transporting the superstar.
