Sushant-Madhavan to start filming for Chanda Mama Door Ke

Talking about the film, it will be directed by Sanjay Puran Singh and produced by Viki Rajani Indian Hindi science-fiction space film.

Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and R. Madhavan in the lead roles while Sushant plays an astronaut, R. Madhavan will play the role of a test pilot in the film. The film traces the journey of India's space programme and culminates with India's first astronaut landing on the moon in 2017-18.

Earlier this year in January the actor had started his training in Boeing 737 (A short- to medium-range twinjet narrow-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes in the United States). His preparations include zero gravity and underwater diving scenes.

The makers of the film hired Hollywood technicians, one of which was John Palmer, a special effects supervisor who worked on films like, Apollo 13 and The Martian. He designed an 11-layer spacesuit for Sushant, who headed to NASA in October for brief and detailed learning about the film.

Apart from this he also underwent underwater 5DF simulator, moon gravity and other training exercises at NASA's space camp at US Space & Rocket Center. He experienced up to 4 Gs in Centrifuge, which astronauts actually feel in Saturn V rockets going on the moon.

Post Sushant's visit, pictures of Madhavan visiting NASA had also gone viral a few months ago. Now that the actors are trained the film is soon set to go on floors.

According to a source, "Till now the team was waiting as both the actors were being trained for their particular role and it's very difficult to learn the techniques and the detailed work of an astronaut and the pilot. Also, the team was waiting for the space suits for the actors. Now, that it has also arrived the film will apparently go on floors in the mid of November or by the end of the month. The team will soon be flying to the UK to get started with the shoot."

Confirming the news filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh also tweeted, "Long cherished dream is all set 2b fulfilled. Space suits wid flags dispatched.Time for a roller coaster ride @itsSSR @ActorMadhavan #CMDK" (Sic).

Apart from these two actors, apparently, Bhumi Pednekar and Shraddha Kapoor will also be seen in the film. It is slated to release on Republic Day that is, January 26 in 2018.
