Priyanka Chopra makes it to the Forbes 100 most powerful women list

Our very own Desi girl Priyanka has made her way to Forbes list of 100 most Powerful Women, 2017. Chopra has successfully bagged the 15^th spot on the list of Most Powerful Women in Entertainment And Media, a list that also includes the popular names of Taylor swift, Beyonce and author J. K Rowling.

Priyanka Chopra takes the 97^th spot on the list of 100 people. Beyonce bags the 50^th position and Taylor is ranked at 85^th position.

Earlier this year, Forbes had listed Bollywood's Top 10 highest paid stars for both male and female, and Priyanka bagged the number 7 rank. Priyanka and actress Deepika Padukone had both made it to the list.

Even after garnering immense fan-following in the west, Priyanka sticks true to her desi girl mannerisms. She leaves no chance in showing everyone where she hails from. Recently in an interview she said, "Everything I am is because of where I grew up. I'm very desi. My achaar goes with me even over my shoes," she revealed. "(The achaar in question is "mirchi green or red" for condiment connoisseurs to know.)"
