Confirmed! Ayan Mukerji's next is titled as Brahmastra

Brahmastra will star mega-superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Recently, even during the Mam Film Festival Ayan was asked about the film's title. Not mentioning about the title the filmmaker had said that he is still not sure about the title of the film as he has been thinking to change the name. Today Karan Johar who will be producing the film, announces on social media, "A TRILOGY ...A FANTASY ADVENTURE...A LABOUR OF LOVE..."BRAHMSTRA" (Sic).

The makers choose Independence Day release for the film. It is a trilogy and its first part of the film will be released on August 15, 2019. Being helmed by Ayan Mukerji, Johar's Dharma Production banner will be collaborating with Fox Star Studios and Namit Malhotra (the Founder, Executive Chairman and Global CEO of Prime Focus Limited).

The film is said to go on floors in 2018. Currently, Ranbir is busy shooting for the last few schedules of Sanjay Dutt's biopic. Also, the actor will be working with Ayan for the third time after Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. For Brahmastra Ranbir will be getting trained in horse riding and Gymnastic as it is said to be a big budget superhero film. The actor will also be seen with special powers in the film.
