Unidentified men threw a burning bottle of kerosene inside the bungalow of Bollywood superstar
Shah Rukh Khan early Friday, the police said. No damage has been reported.
According to an officer of Bandra Police station, two men came to Shah Rukh's bungalow, called Mannat, at Bandra Bandstand, around 2.30 a.m. Friday.
They lit a bottle full of kerosene and flung it over the gates before fleeing the scene. The security guards were caught unawares, the police said.
'The motive behind the attack is not clear. We have registered a case and are trying to trace the culprits,' the officer told.
There was no damage to the property as the flaming missile landed in the garden. It is not known whether Shah Rukh and his family members were present inside the bungalow at the time of the incident, he said.
Shah Rukh is once again in the headlines with the release of his next movie, 'Billu' which hit cinemas all over the country Friday.
