Finally! Mira Rajput REACTS to her CONTROVERSY, defends herself!

Mira Rajput Kapoor made headlines after her first press conference on the occasion of Women's Day where she had compared the kids of working mothers with a puppy.

She had said: "I wouldn't want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work. Why did I have her (daughter Misha)? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother."

Her received flak from everyone for her statements. But, husband Shahid Kapoor had jumped to her rescue and clarified that his dear wife Mira was talking about herself and her comment wasn't directed at anybody of any category of women.

He had said, "I think we are in a time where everybody is getting hurt about everything. So, I honestly don't feel there is any sense in trying to keep everyone happy."

Even after Shahid supporting his wife, people still criticized her but Mira on the other hand never retaliated and chose to maintain silence.

However, she has now opened up about the whole controversy in an interview with Bombay Times.

She said, "I was just speaking my mind, my intention was not to offend or hurt anyone. Could I have chosen my words better? Maybe. But I am not a seasoned actor and I don't know how to be politically correct. I was speaking for a section of women who aren't given their due."

Mira was then asked if it's a classic case of once bitten twice shy situation and would she now be cautious about what she says, she quipped,"I am not an actor or a public figure, I have the luxury to be politically incorrect."
