Movies unite us: Milap Zaveri (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, May 7 (IANS) Writer-director Milap Zaveri believes that movies unite people irrespective of race, religion and gender.

Zaveri tweeted on Sunday: "A cinema hall is one place where race, creed, religion, gender, sexual preference... nothing matters. Movies unite us all under one roof!"

The post comes after a series of tweets in which he praised S.S. Rajamouli and his team for making the blockbuster "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion", which released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi last month.

Johny Lever has a message on World Laughter Day

Indian cinema's noted comedian Johny Lever is all for laughing and making others laugh on World Laughter Day on Sunday.

Sharing a video from his hit 1993 Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Baazigar", he tweeted: "Hasste rahiye (keep laughing). Hassaate rahiye (Keep making others laugh)! World Laughter Day."

There were others as well who chose to celebrate the day by sharing happy posts on Twitter.

Actor Rahul Dev wrote: "The easiest stress buster... a day without laughter is a day wasted. Laugh more. Live more."

Singer Kailash Kher said if people look in the mirror, they will find "all of us are cartoon in many ways. We are the happiness".

Adnan Sami finds judging people a 'futile exercise'

Singer Adnan Sami feels there are many reasons to be happy and that judging people is just a "futile exercise".

"Everyone has been blessed with a talent from God. It's our responsibility to nurture and pursue it with persistence and have faith that we will achieve. Sit down and count your blessings," he tweeted on Sunday.

"Start from being able to breathe and then keep counting every tiny blessing. You will find many reasons to be happy. Don't engage in futile exercise of judging people. Only God knows their heart. Remember that you too will be judged by God.

"Worry about yourself," added the singer who has been often judged for his weight issues or choosing to be an Indian despite having roots in Pakistan.
