It was just yesterday that the 64th National Film Awards were announced. Under the big categories, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar bagged the Best Actor award for "Rustom".

Soon after the news broke out, wishes started pouring in for the Khiladi. But there were a few who weren't happy with his win which led to a twitter debate!

The question of partiality and bias became a topic of debate after Akshay was announced as the Best Actor, snubbing potential winners such as Aamir Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Dulquer Salmaan among others.

A section of the public on social media came down heavily on Akshay's win.

Today, filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss labeled the National Awards as "BIASED". He felt that the jury has been partial.

"National Awards. I can clearly witness the influence and partiality of people in jury. It's biased," Murugadoss tweeted.

Filmmaker Priyadarshan was the head of the jury of National Film Awards.

Akshay and Priyadarshan have worked together on multiple projects.

So, what do you think? Has the jury been partial in giving Akshay Kumar the title of 'Best Actor'? Share your views in the comment box below!
