Salman Khan ousts Akshay Kumar, emerges as highest advance TAX payer!

'Dabangg' actor Salman Khan has taken over actors like Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan by becoming the highest advance tax-payer for the year 2016-17. The details were revealed from the data of advance tax paid by top 10 actors till March 15, 2017.

Interestingly, comedian turned actor Kapil Sharma has amazed the IT officials with an income growth of 206 percent in just one annual year.

Salman had paid Rs. 32.2 crore last year and this year it has increased to Rs. 44.5 crore resulting into 39 percent of growth. Akshay has managed to keep himself at the second position by paying 29.5 crore tax this year. However, the 'Khiladi' had paid Rs. 30 crore last year.

An IT official pointed out that Kapil Sharma has seen a tremendous growth in his income this year. "The number indicates that Kapil Sharma's personal income has jumped by almost 206 percent in one year,", the official quoted in a report. Among Bollywood filmmakers, Karan Johar is the only one to sustain himself in the list of top 10 tax-payers. Whereas, actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone are the leading ladies of Bollywood in terms of tax payment.
