Yash Raj's Next 'New York'

The teaser of 'New York' got unveiled with the screening of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. This will be Yash Raj next for the upcoming year 2009. The film stars John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Irfaan Khan.                                                                      


The teaser shows New York city setting with John,Katrina and Neil 'dostana' hanging out together, shopping and partying out. Overall enjoying beautiful moments of life with everything good around.


But,after an unusual event in their lives they all fall apart.Things turn upside down. Irfaan Khan
is seen as crime investigator in the movie.The happy environment turns to terror, fear and sufferings.


There comes in a dialogue where John says "Hum sab mein ek hi baat common thi,hamara 'Mazhab'(religion)". This depicts the terrifying events taking place merely for the sake of belonging to a particular religion. As the teaser winds up John is seen screaming in despair "I am American, listen to me".


The actual theme of the movie is how larger events in the world that are just headlines of the in the newspaper can change one's life forever.The highlighting of World Trade Center, in the teaser gives an idea that the movie is about the fearful atmosphere that creeped America after the destruction of W.T.C.                        


'New York 'is directed by director Kabir Khan and is produced by Aditya Chopra.Kabir Khan has directed 'Kabul Express' before and won National Award as Best Debutant Director for the same. The music for the film will is given by Pritam. The song unveiled with the teaser 'Hai Junoon' is a good one.


This movie marks Katrina Kaif's entry in Yash Raj camp. Her look in the film is also different from what she has donned before.This for the first time these trio's are working together.The third lead of the movie, Neil Nitin Mukesh made his debut in 'Johnny Gaddar' as Vicky.




The subject of the movie is very strong and as seen in teaser it looks a promising one.
